My Coats Pension – status update (March 2022)

Our secure online member portal is still on a break and we regret that we are currently unable to advise a timescale for us to be able to provide your payslips and other documents online again.

The complexity of the Coats UK Pension Scheme membership, together with the need for the most robust security measures available to keep our member data secure, means that we are unable to purchase an “off the shelf” web product and require a customised web offering. The original developers of My Coats Pension were unable to provide a suitable product for us, which means that we have had to look to other developers for a solution. Unfortunately, this hasn’t progressed as quickly as we had hoped because, as with so many organisations, developers have faced staff shortages, unplanned absences and other challenges as a result of the pandemic.

If the service is still unavailable when any essential communications (P60s, etc) are issued, they will be posted out to you. Printed payslips are normally only sent to pensioners whose monthly pension, after tax, changes by more than £5.00. Once MCP is available again, we will resume uploading payslips for all MCP members who receive a pension on a monthly basis.
