Sheila is the Group Head of Pensions, leading the Pensions Office team and providing support to the Company, as well as being Secretary to the Trustee Board. She joined Coats in 1998 and has worked in the pensions industry since 1990 including roles in insurance, consultancy and as part of the management team at Diageo Pension Scheme. She has a degree in Accounting, is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, holds a Diploma from the Pensions Management Institute and is a Graduate of the London Business School. Sheila spends what spare time she has with her family and friends, and trying to keep fit.

Lynette Scullion

Lynette is our Member Services Manager. She has been with Coats since 1997.   When she is not wearing her ‘Coats hat’ she is a busy mother of 3 boys and a fervent gym-goer – where she finds the energy we’re not quite sure!

Roslyn joined us in early 2013 and has been trying to avoid being added to the website ever since. As our Pensions Governance Manager, she provides invaluable support to the management team on a vast array of projects and brings a wealth of technical expertise from her pensions consultancy experience. She has been a key contributor to our success in launching the Defined Contribution pension scheme and ensuring we adhere to the complex legislation surrounding Automatic Enrolment. She is also heavily involved in supporting the Trustee Board. She enjoys (or endures) following the Scotland rugby team and isn’t averse to a little after-work socialising.

Jamie Acutt

Jamie has the role of Payments Technician & Trustee Support. He works mainly in the Group Member Services team and has worked in Coats since November 2003. He helps to ensure that our pensioners are paid accurately and on time each month, and deals with day-to-day correspondence to and from pensioners. He also provides administrative support to the Coats Foundation Trust. His hobbies include hill walking and travelling; he has climbed all of the Scottish ‘Munros’ (mountains over 3,000ft) and has visited Afghanistan, Pakistan and Tibet to name but a few.

Stewart joined us in 2011 on a temporary contract and we’ve kept him chained to his desk ever since – he is now our Pensions and Communications Technician. He’s a Stewart of all trades and he helps out with Office Facilities and the occasional bit of graphic design. In his spare time, Stewart plays a mean guitar and his band have played alongside a few rock legends including Thin Lizzy and Terrorvision. He puts us all to shame with his daily pilgrimage to the gym but where there’s a yang there’s a yin – he appears to survive on a diet of chocolate and energy drinks.
