Welcome to the 'active members' section of our site. Active members are those who are currently employed by Coats plc or one of its subsidiaries, are based within the UK and are still building up benefits in the Plan. Following the sale of Home Furnishings in early 2005 to enable Coats to focus on its core thread business, the Plan now has around 600 active members, which is just under 2% of the total membership of the Plan.

Pensions Calculator - Most experts would agree that when it comes to retirement planning, few of us are fully prepared. This is where the Pensions Calculator can come in useful - it can give you an estimate of the amount of pension income you could get when you retire if your pension was a money purchase plan. You can change the level of contributions to see how this would affect your pension income. As the Coats Pension Plan is a very complex final salary scheme we are unable to provide a calculator for it, but we hope that this highlights the benefits of a final salary scheme. This may also help you to assess whether your current pension provision will meet your retirement needs.

Currency Converter - Hand in hand with the Pensions Calculator is the Currency Converter. If you're planning on retiring to a little villa in Crete, you might find it useful to know how many Euros your pension will provide.
